Global Safelist Now Applies to Teams Messaging Security

We’re expanding the power of the Global Safelist to Microsoft Teams Messaging Security.

Sender email addresses and domains added to your Global Safelist will now automatically apply to Teams messages. This means messages from trusted senders in Teams will no longer be flagged as malicious by Abnormal.

How It Works
Admins can continue managing trusted senders in the Global Safelist within the Abnormal portal. These safelisting rules now extend seamlessly across both email and Teams, no additional configuration required.

Why It Matters

  • Fewer false positives: Reduce unnecessary detections for known, trusted senders in Teams
  • Improved efficiency: Help security and IT teams focus on real threats by cutting through noise
  • Unified management: Align safelisting across email and Teams in a single, centralized location

Availability
This feature will be automatically available starting this week for customers with Microsoft Teams Messaging Security enabled.
